Tommy Bahama’s at Mauna Lani offers a relaxed blend of covered outdoor dining and cozy indoor seating. The restaurant was lively when we visited, and staff were knowledgeable about gluten-free options. They provide a dedicated gluten-free menu and are willing to prepare certain off-menu items for gluten-free diners, but they advise that guests with celiac disease stick to the printed gluten-free selections to minimize the risk of cross-contamination. Vegetarian requests are also accommodated.
We sampled several dishes: macadamia-crusted goat cheese served with vegetables; a filet mignon accompanied by cauliflower-potato mash; and roasted seasonal vegetables paired with a cauliflower steak. Flavors were fresh and focused on island-inspired ingredients, with thoughtful substitutions to keep dishes gluten-free where possible.
