Important Tips

  • Use a spoon to scoop out seeds and membranes cleanly.
  • Wear gloves if you’re sensitive to capsaicin; if you don’t use gloves, wash hands thoroughly and avoid touching your face or eyes.
  • Preheating the air fryer helps crisp the coating faster—watch closely to prevent burning.

Frequently Asked Questions About Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers

Can I make Jalapeño Poppers ahead of time?

Yes. Prepare the cream cheese filling and stuff the jalapeño halves, then wrap and refrigerate for 3–4 days or freeze up to 3 months. When ready, coat with breadcrumbs and air fry until golden.

Can I cook Jalapeño Poppers in the oven?

Yes. If you don’t have an air fryer, bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 15 minutes or until golden and heated through.

Can I add bacon?

Absolutely. You can wrap each stuffed jalapeño in a strip of bacon before air frying, or mix cooked bacon bits into the filling for extra flavor.

Can I make these Keto/Low Carb?

Yes. Replace the panko with a low-carb coating like a mix of almond flour and Parmesan or crushed pork rinds for a keto-friendly topping.

How do I cook frozen Jalapeño Poppers in the Air Fryer?

Cook frozen poppers longer than fresh—air fry until the exterior is golden and the filling is hot and bubbly. Check periodically to avoid over-browning.
