This is what Aspen means to me.
Everyone in Aspen knows Paradise Bakery. Whether it’s summer or winter, this bakery consistently turns out some of the finest brownies, cookies and ice cream you’ll find anywhere.
On this visit I only stopped by once. After stocking up on chocolate at the Fancy Food show, I didn’t need to add more sweets to the mix.
Pressed for time, I kept it simple: cream cheese and double chocolate fudge brownies, plus a selection of cookies — chocolate chip, triple chocolate and snickerdoodle. Paradise Bakery’s offerings have remained reliably excellent; the recipes taste just as good now as they did when I first tried them about 30 years ago.
And while not chocolate, their cinnamon rolls are incredible too — definitely worth a try.
