Ingredient Substitutions and Variations
The base is made by melting chocolate with peanut butter, honey and butter, then folding through cornflakes. Milk chocolate gives a sweeter result, while dark chocolate adds depth; white chocolate can be used for a creamier, sweeter finish, or mix chocolates for variety.
Toppings can be varied — use any small chocolate eggs if specific brands aren’t available. I decorated with a combination of whole and crushed Mini Eggs and Smartie Eggs and finished with pastel sprinkles; feel free to get creative with colours and textures.
This recipe is flexible, easy to scale up for more portions, and straightforward to prepare ahead of time for parties or gatherings.
You can store it at room temperature in an airtight container, but refrigeration keeps it firmer and helps the chocolate set.
Stored in an airtight container in the fridge, it will keep for up to 7 days.
Yes — make them ahead and keep them refrigerated in an airtight container until you’re ready to serve.
